Strategic Engineer, Electrical I&C and Mechanical
Lead lifecycle planning, asset management, risk reduction, and technology integration across Vistra’s nuclear power fleet. This full-time onsite role is based at one of four U.S. nuclear plants.

- Develop and execute long-term lifecycle strategies for Vistra’s nuclear fleet
- Build replacement and refurbishment plans with defined milestones and schedules
- Forecast future budget requirements for Vistra
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define outage and preventive maintenance scopes
- Manage plant assets across each stage of their lifecycle
- Coordinate with supply chain partners on critical materials and components
- Assess operational risks and establish mitigation measures
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Assess how new technologies affect long-range plans and component lifecycles
- Deliver technical support across the nuclear fleet
- Translate technical information clearly so work and repairs are performed correctly
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer licensure or additional experience is preferred but not required
- Understanding of current and emerging regulatory, code, and broader industry matters
- Proficiency in technical evaluation methodologies
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant technologies
- At least eight years of power plant operations, engineering, or comparable industry experience is preferred
- Ability to apply foundational scientific principles
- Strong communication skills with colleagues, leadership, and external agencies
- Capacity to deliver projects and strategies with limited oversight
- Evidence of sustained high performance through successive evaluations or relevant external work history
