- Lead the design, development, and delivery of software for Defence R&D programs, prototypes, and demonstrations
- Build, maintain, and improve software using modern engineering practices, frameworks, and architectures
- Contribute to agile delivery through planning, estimation, testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Uphold Defence security, export control, and classified information handling requirements
- Offer technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering expertise across multidisciplinary teams
- Work with systems engineers, software developers, and technical specialists to convert innovative concepts into demonstrable capabilities and future products
आवश्यकताएँ
- Professional experience developing software with Java, C++, C#, or Ada
- Knowledge of object-oriented and procedural programming principles
- Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, engineering best practices, and Git-based configuration management
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and Systems Engineering principles
- Background developing software for Defence, aerospace, combat systems, or other complex software-intensive environments
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, and/or TypeScript
- Experience developing software in Linux environments
- Familiarity with Docker, DDS, IBM DOORS, and the Atlassian tool suite
- Australian citizenship
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain access to ITAR-controlled information
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders
