Midwest Specialty Chemicals Sales Manager
Lead technical sales of specialty chemical additives for industrial fluids across the Midwest. Manage customer and distributor relationships while developing $1–2 million in business potential over one to three years.

- Win customer business.
- Respond promptly and follow through with customers.
- Negotiate sales agreements effectively.
- Use technical, project-based selling to demonstrate product value.
- Support and motivate distribution partners.
- Promote specialty additives for industrial fluids, including metalworking fluids, lubricants, cleaners, and mold release products.
- Give customers product and service information.
- Address customer needs and maintain satisfaction.
- Manage a territory currently valued at $2–3 million, shared with the existing sales manager.
- Build $1–2 million in short- to mid-term business potential within one to three years.
- Travel across the territory and provide on-site sales support.

- Bachelor’s degree required; a technical degree is preferred, especially in chemistry.
- At least three years of sales experience.
- Experience with team-based selling across sales, technical, or product management functions.
- Chemical industry experience required.
- Performance chemicals experience is an advantage.
- Experience with specialty additives for industrial or automotive markets preferred.
- Experience with defoamers or antifoams in any application preferred.
- Experience with silicone release agents preferred.
- Must live in the Midwest, preferably Michigan, Illinois, or a neighboring state.
- Travel 60% of the time, including monthly air travel and up to two weeks of overnight travel per month.
- Basic familiarity with regulations and compliance in industrial and automotive markets preferred.
- Able to work eight-hour shifts in an office or in the field.
- Able to drive for extended periods while traveling.
- Able to sit for extended periods in a home office.
- Able to use a phone and computer daily to perform job duties.
