  • Give customers product and service information.
  • Address customer needs and maintain satisfaction.
  • Manage a territory currently valued at $2–3 million, shared with the existing sales manager.
  • Build $1–2 million in short- to mid-term business potential within one to three years.
  • Travel across the territory and provide on-site sales support.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a technical degree is preferred, especially in chemistry.
  • At least three years of sales experience.
  • Experience with team-based selling across sales, technical, or product management functions.
  • Chemical industry experience required.
  • Performance chemicals experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with specialty additives for industrial or automotive markets preferred.
  • Experience with defoamers or antifoams in any application preferred.
  • Experience with silicone release agents preferred.
  • Must live in the Midwest, preferably Michigan, Illinois, or a neighboring state.
  • Travel 60% of the time, including monthly air travel and up to two weeks of overnight travel per month.
  • Basic familiarity with regulations and compliance in industrial and automotive markets preferred.
  • Able to work eight-hour shifts in an office or in the field.
  • Able to drive for extended periods while traveling.
  • Able to sit for extended periods in a home office.
  • Able to use a phone and computer daily to perform job duties.
