Tavsif

  • Draft, review and negotiate US commercial agreements across customer, pharmaceutical, services, supplier, consultancy, clinical study, research and confidentiality matters.
  • Create and maintain contract templates, playbooks, policies and approval workflows with Sales Operations.
  • Develop a scalable contracting process that speeds customer onboarding, reduces bottlenecks and applies proportionate risk controls.
  • Lead US legal and regulatory compliance in partnership with Regulatory, HR and Quality.
  • Track US laws and regulations affecting software, AI and medical devices, and turn changes into practical business guidance.
  • Reflect significant legal and regulatory developments in strategic plans.
  • Draft and maintain governance and compliance policies, including those covering the Sunshine Act and HIPAA.
  • Provide practical legal training and raise awareness of company policies and compliance responsibilities.
  • Work with UK Legal to develop and implement a Code of Conduct addressing anti-kickback rules, bribery and corruption, sanctions, competition, fraud, whistleblowing, conflicts of interest and modern slavery.
  • Advise HR on US employment issues and disputes, and support compliance with employment law.
  • Promote a collaborative, positive and fair culture across the UK and US teams.
  • Advise on disputes, investigations and potential litigation, engaging external counsel when appropriate.
  • Partner with the CEO, leadership team, UK legal team and cross-functional colleagues as the company’s first US legal hire.

Talablar

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited US law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar.
  • At least six years of legal experience after qualification, gained at a reputable law firm, in-house or in both settings.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracting, US privacy law and data security requirements.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology or software is desirable.
  • Experience supporting a high-growth or scaling business is desirable.
  • Experience working across multiple US states or with international teams is desirable.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems and legal operations tools is desirable.
  • Experience selecting and managing external legal and professional advisers, including setting scope, fees and timelines, is desirable.
  • Strong legal knowledge, sound judgment and communication skills, with the ability to balance risk and commercial goals.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting, manage competing priorities and adapt to change.
