Technology Director, Covenant Day School (Onsite)
Lead technology strategy, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT operations for Christ Covenant Church and Covenant Day School. Manage technology projects, vendors, systems, and the campus technology team.
Tavsif
- Direct technology strategy and execution for Christ Covenant Church and Covenant Day School
- Assess technology needs and recommend secure, sustainable, financially responsible solutions that support the mission
- Oversee network administration and infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, internet connectivity, and related systems
- Lead, develop, and support the technology team
- Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of network and core technology infrastructure
- Manage and support servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID, cloud services, endpoint systems, and core technology platforms
- Provide escalation support for complex hardware, software, network, account, and connectivity issues
- Work with third-party technology consulting vendors on complex support and campus security matters
- Support instructional and classroom technology, educational applications, and faculty technology needs
- Assist church and school staff with escalated technology needs and administer ticketing, help desk, and remote-support tools
- Lead campus technology projects from planning through implementation, including solution evaluation, vendor management, configuration, testing, and change communication
- Oversee technology assets through procurement, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and retirement
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity, backup, access-control, documentation, and technology-support practices
- Coach and mentor team members while promoting cross-training, shared responsibility, communication, and service
- Participate in appropriate leadership meetings
- Respond to significant technology issues or outages and coordinate campus communication and resolution
- Work occasional evenings or weekends for outages and planned updates
- Carry out other responsibilities assigned by supervisors
Talablar
- Demonstrated Christian faith and commitment to the mission of Christ Covenant Church and Covenant Day School
- Substantial IT experience, including strong network administration and infrastructure expertise
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, group policy management, wireless networking, VPNs, firewalls, and network security
- Experience with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Entra ID, endpoint management, and cloud technology
- Experience working with Google Classroom
- Strong collaborative approach to customer service
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating technology professionals
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Collaborative, team-oriented leadership style and willingness to work alongside team members
- Ability to balance competing priorities and provide calm, thoughtful leadership during significant technology issues
- Physical ability to move throughout campus, including beneath desks and in storage or attic areas, for network servicing
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
