Tavsif

  • Build deep knowledge of the industry, products, and roadmap to guide team strategy and organizational direction.
  • Lead complex features and systems from ideation and architecture through deployment, iteration, and refinement.
  • Establish and uphold engineering principles, guidelines, and development practices.
  • Set Android platform direction and support Fanatics’ Android and mobile ecosystem through Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Work with product, design, and stakeholders on high-impact technical decisions that support business objectives and scale.
  • Exchange practices, code, and complete features across multiple applications with iOS and Android leaders.
  • Own incident response through the on-call rotation.
  • Find and resolve cross-team blockers.
  • Perform code reviews and raise review quality across the organization.
  • Guide planning and design conversations while improving architectural patterns.
  • Advance software quality, testability, operational measurement, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor and develop engineers across experience levels.
  • Travel occasionally to Fanatics offices and other destinations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities.

Talablar

  • At least 10 years of experience developing highly scalable, high-performance Android applications.
  • Advanced expertise in Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, and related Android technologies.
  • A demonstrated ability to build consensus and mentor others on coding and architectural approaches.
  • Systems-level functional knowledge or experience spanning Backend Client API, Platform Engineering, and client-supporting Marketing and Analytics systems.
  • Familiarity with observability practices such as logging, monitoring, and tracing in native applications.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical ideas to engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A team-oriented approach and willingness to take on the work required to deliver results.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a rapidly growing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Preferred: experience sharing code across native and cross-platform applications.
  • Preferred: experience using webviews and integrating cohesive experiences across technologies.
  • Preferred: background in sports, e-commerce, or gaming.
  • Preferred: ability to contribute across varied legacy and greenfield codebases, languages, and environments.
