Associate Systems Analyst, Patient Financial Services

Support WVU Medicine’s revenue cycle billing systems through troubleshooting, testing, user training, and technology project coordination.

Tavsif

  • Help implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve software systems.
  • Support system updates, testing, error correction, user access, data transfers, and basic reporting.
  • Gather requirements with senior colleagues and business partners, and connect technical solutions to business needs.
  • Coordinate project scope, deliverables, schedules, milestones, meetings, documentation, risks, issues, and status updates.
  • Assist users, conduct group and individual training, assess readiness, provide system support, and develop training materials.
  • Build knowledge through research, workshops, shared learning, and collaboration across teams.
  • Travel to WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites for implementations, training, and support as needed.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications or proficiencies may be required, with a target completion date within 90 days after formal WVUHS Information Technology training.
  • Foundational experience analyzing business needs and documenting functional specifications.
  • Foundational proficiency with process maps, workflow diagrams, and data analytics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and test systems.
  • Written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical information.
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected changes and system issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and DICOM is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare applications, web services, systems administration, clinical settings, clinical data management, cloud applications, reporting tools, and advanced workflows is preferred.
