Opis

  • Investigate high-exposure homeowner claims, including litigated files and cases involving attorneys or public adjusters.
  • Confirm coverage, interpret policy terms, and assess liability and damage scope.
  • Review claim facts and estimates to reach appropriate, timely resolutions.
  • Apply detailed knowledge of homeowners policies and jurisdictional documents.
  • Inspect properties on site when needed.
  • Investigate loss causes with policyholders, claimants, agents, legal counsel, contractors, experts, SIU, public officials, and other adjusters.
  • Check for prior losses and possible environmental exposures.
  • Reconcile contractor and mitigation estimates, working with vendors to value damage.
  • Create large-loss and total-loss estimates in Xactimate.
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders, attorneys, and public adjusters.
  • Oversee restoration timelines for Additional Living Expense and Loss of Rent claims.
  • Interpret and apply policies, leases, bylaws, declarations, and contractual coverage terms.
  • Keep communication clear and timely throughout each claim.
  • Assist with catastrophe events as required.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement efforts.
  • Coach and train fellow claims professionals.

Zahteve

  • Five to seven years of dwelling estimating experience is preferred.
  • Experience handling homeowner property losses of $50,000 or more.
  • Strong claims and business judgment, including litigation experience.
  • Advanced ability to interpret homeowners policies and analyze coverage.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate; Level 3 certification is encouraged.
  • Able to work with vendors to determine damage and reconcile estimates.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting using claims systems and telephony platforms.
  • Must obtain and maintain required state adjuster licenses.
  • Must meet applicable jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Periodic travel may be needed for inspections or catastrophe support.
