Opis

  • Investigate policyholders’ homes remotely and in person.
  • Assess property damage, determine liability and loss extent, and negotiate settlements.
  • Use claims software, a company car, and a laptop to assess damage and prepare paperless estimates.
  • Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.
  • Report theft, fraud, or arson to relevant state and industry agencies.
  • Work independently on duties that directly affect management outcomes.
  • Represent the company professionally in public interactions.
  • Work with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate claim resolutions with policyholders.
  • Promote safety and follow company safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Zahteve

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service experience, preferably in retail.
  • Construction or insurance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency using smartphones and applications.
  • Willingness to learn insurance policies and property damage assessment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded.
  • Final candidates must pass a motor vehicle record background check.
  • Must live in the greater Canton, Ohio area or assigned territory.
  • Able and willing to climb ladders and work on rooftops several times daily.
  • Comfort working in confined areas such as attics and crawlspaces.
  • Pass all claims training exams at the required minimum score.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Able to work in field settings and a home office.
  • Willing to participate in one to three catastrophe deployments annually.
  • Catastrophe-team employees may need to travel away from home, typically for 23 days.
