Senior Acoustical and Vibration Engineer

Develop Victaulic’s vibration isolation and acoustic engineering capabilities. Review noise control designs and advise consultants, engineers, and company leadership.

Descriere

  • Develop Victaulic’s vibration isolation and acoustic engineering capabilities
  • Connect Victaulic with the acoustical consulting community
  • Review vibration isolation and noise control designs
  • Advise leadership on capabilities Victaulic should develop to compete in the market
  • Gradually take on direct acoustic and vibration consulting for projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with acoustical consultants, MEP engineers of record, and architects across North America
  • Review project specifications and drawings, and assess how Victaulic’s vibration isolation solutions align with or exceed consultants’ design intent
  • Answer consultants’ technical questions about product performance, deflection criteria, and equivalency
  • Create technical guidance, application notes, and training materials for internal engineering and sales teams
  • Advise leadership on product development, testing data, and documentation needed to earn specification positions

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering, acoustics, or a related technical field
  • At least 8 years of experience at an acoustical or MEP consulting firm, with direct responsibility for building mechanical noise and vibration design
  • Practical experience selecting equipment vibration isolation and designing structure-borne noise control, floating floors, and pipe and duct isolation
  • Working knowledge of noise and vibration criteria, measurement instrumentation, and data analysis
  • Ability to read and critique architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings and to write or review specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-specialists
  • Established professional connections in the acoustical consulting community
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for project sites, client meetings, and Victaulic facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng license is an advantage
  • INCE Board Certification is an advantage
  • Active participation in ASA, INCE, or NCAC is an advantage
  • Seismic restraint design experience (ASCE 7 / IBC; OSHPD/HCAI experience is a plus)
  • Experience with healthcare, data center, or education projects
  • Proficiency in acoustic and vibration modeling software, Revit/BIM, and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with piping thermal expansion and riser design
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
