Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript) — Brazil Remote

Build and own React and TypeScript features for Virtasant’s cloud-management web console. Deliver tested, API-integrated frontend work with a distributed Latin American engineering team.

Descriere

  • Build and improve production frontend features with React and TypeScript
  • Develop complex forms, configuration workflows, dashboards, and interactive application experiences
  • Turn product and UI/UX requirements into dependable production interfaces
  • Contribute to shared frontend components, libraries, tooling, and engineering practices
  • Create unit and integration tests alongside feature development
  • Maintain and expand existing test suites
  • Investigate and fix regressions, edge cases, and production issues
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Connect frontend applications to production REST APIs
  • Manage application state, validation, errors, loading states, and API responses
  • Lead features from requirements discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production verification
  • Work with Git, pull requests, automated linting, testing, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Use GenAI-assisted development tools while retaining responsibility for code quality
  • Partner with engineers, product stakeholders, and designers in a distributed environment
  • Communicate implementation decisions, blockers, risks, and progress
  • Record technical decisions and implementation details when appropriate

Cerințe

  • At least five years of professional frontend software development experience
  • Substantial hands-on experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript
  • A track record of writing unit and integration tests during regular feature development
  • Production experience connecting frontend applications to REST APIs
  • Experience contributing to large, shared production codebases
  • Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience incorporating GenAI-assisted coding tools into software development
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong knowledge of React hooks, component architecture, state management, and complex forms
  • Strong JavaScript skills and modern web development fundamentals
  • Experience working within established frontend architectures and shared component libraries
  • Experience with automated linting, testing, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to debug frontend issues across UI, state, API, and application layers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High ownership and the ability to work independently
  • Comfort collaborating asynchronously across a distributed team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to give and receive constructive code-review feedback
  • Experience with monorepos, design systems, Node.js, Python, broader full-stack development, GenAI-powered products, or complex cloud portals is preferred but not required
