  • Build and deploy complex software solutions across cloud engineering, Java, APIs, and user experience
  • Establish practical application architectures and develop innovative technical solutions
  • Create, manage, and deliver the technology roadmap
  • Evaluate third-party technologies for adoption on emerging platforms
  • Partner with product owners, designers, and internal technology teams
  • Deliver scalable, compliant, high-quality releases with strong user experiences
  • Advance code reuse, shared services, and collaborative development
  • Track industry research and assess emerging technologies
  • Manage a software engineering team of more than 10 people
  • Lead performance management and talent development processes
  • Recruit technical and non-technical professionals and develop a high-performing, self-managing engineering organization
  • Guide collaborative product and software development using lean practices
  • Implement strategic improvements to tools and processes while promoting continuous improvement

Cerințe

  • Practical experience and deep knowledge of functional platforms
  • Strong technical foundation in coding practices, architecture, design, complex integrated systems, coding frameworks, and interface design
  • At least 10 years of experience building and deploying large-scale software products
  • Extensive experience with software design and Agile development
  • Experience reviewing code for full-stack solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Java, REST APIs, cloud engineering, and digital experience development
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience designing resilient systems and platforms
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
  • Experience developing technology plans and roadmaps
  • Demonstrated success in leading problem analysis and resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems, or equivalent professional experience
  • Eligible to work for American Express in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Knowledge of LLMs and AI agents is preferred
  • Familiarity with American Express marketing and data platforms and software development practices is preferred
  • An advanced degree is preferred
