Core Network DevOps Engineer at One New Zealand (Hybrid)
Design and support One New Zealand’s mobile and fixed data network platforms. Automate operations, manage network changes, and resolve incidents across 24/7 services.
Descriere
- Design, implement, and support the 24/7 operation of One New Zealand’s core mobile and fixed data network DevOps domains
- Create accurate, cost-effective network designs for medium- to high-complexity environments while assessing end-to-end impacts
- Define capacity and performance metrics, then develop platform and domain management processes and reporting
- Contribute to platform and domain roadmaps and broader network plans
- Own implementation and acceptance plans
- Peer-review low-level and high-level network designs
- Ensure implementations follow network change processes and quality standards
- Deliver network changes on schedule and within budget while protecting network integrity
- Confirm required acceptance testing is complete before production implementation
- Resolve incidents within operational SLA targets and participate in 24/7 on-call rosters
- Develop processes, procedures, automation, and AI workflows to improve operational performance
- Maintain network integrity through an effective maintenance program
Cerințe
- Extensive knowledge of core data DevOps platforms and technologies, including mobile data core, fixed data core, and mobile signalling
- Understanding of related domains such as mobile registers, IMS, fixed voice, messaging, virtual and container infrastructure, IP transport, security, and enterprise technologies
- Working knowledge of 3GPP and ETSI specifications
- Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages
- Experience with virtualized and containerized environments, including VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, such as Azure DevOps
- Understanding of ITIL methodologies and Agile ways of working
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to contribute effectively within a high-performing team and share platform and core domain expertise
- Availability to participate in 24/7 on-call rosters
