COBOL Developer Analyst (Remote, Brazil)
Support Globalweb’s z/OS mainframe systems as a COBOL Developer Analyst, using CICS, DB2, JCL, and DevOps tools to help deliver scalable solutions.
Descriere
- Support development teams with z/OS operating system activities
- Maintain and assist with z/OS utilities
- Evaluate application performance within z/OS environments
- Use DevOps technologies and tools in development work
- Build new features that strengthen product robustness and scalability
- Help improve solutions used daily by users at large companies
Cerințe
- High school diploma
- Programming proficiency in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or later
- Familiarity with IBM platforms and tools, including z/OS, DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO, MainView, Strobe, Control-M, Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, Endevor, SDF II, Eccox or comparable tools, IBM Sterling Connect:Direct for z/OS, Rational Developer for z Systems (RDz) or comparable tools, and MQ Series
- Knowledge of online and batch applications, including balanced-line processing, CICS, TSO, JCL such as SORT and IDCAMS, DB2 and/or CA-IDMS relational databases, VSAM KSDS/ESDS files, dump analysis, and Endevor
- Professional experience as an analyst working with mainframe platforms
- Experience developing multithreaded CICS transactions
- Understanding of relational database modeling and database performance analysis
- Experience developing DB2 native stored procedures
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Understanding of code quality practices and mainframe application performance analysis
- Experience with CICS, CICS/WEB, Broker, and MQ Series access interfaces
- Knowledge of CICS structures, including their definitions and configurations
- Business modeling experience with CA Gen 8 or later
