Remote P&C Statistical Reporting Analyst at Martin & Company

Manage statistical submissions for U.S. property and casualty insurers and managing general agents. Validate and reconcile reporting data, investigate bureau errors, and coordinate corrections across clients and jurisdictions.

  • Manage statistical reporting from data intake and validation through submission and follow-up review.
  • Prepare and file reports for General Liability, Commercial Auto, Property, Fidelity & Surety, and other property and casualty lines.
  • Send reports to ISO, NISS, ISS, and other state or independent bureaus.
  • Track reporting calendars and coordinate deadlines across clients, business lines, and jurisdictions.
  • Check source data and report output for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Reconcile and quality-check premium, exposure, loss, claim, policy, coverage, and other statistical data.
  • Investigate discrepancies and trace missing or invalid data, coding inconsistencies, mapping problems, and source-system errors to their causes.
  • Research and resolve bureau edits, exceptions, and validation errors.
  • Test reporting output after system or specification changes before production submissions.
  • Explain data issues and needed corrections to clients and internal teams.
  • Keep records of reporting requirements, specifications, processes, and bureau communications.
  • Find ways to improve reporting workflows, data quality, automation, and operating efficiency.
  • Stay informed about bureau requirements, statistical plans, reporting updates, and regulations.
  • Handle competing priorities and deadlines independently and in coordination with clients and internal teams.

Prasības

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in P&C insurance statistical reporting, data analysis, or related insurance operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO, NISS, ISS, state-specific, or independent bureau statistical reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance data, statistical reporting requirements, and bureau specifications.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience handling flat, fixed-width, and delimited files, as well as large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently and collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, regulatory, and compliance skills.
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting multiple P&C business lines and reporting bureaus.
  • Preferred: Experience with SQL, SQL Server, or other data-querying tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with reporting systems, data conversions, system implementations, or reporting process development.
  • Preferred: Experience troubleshooting report output and working with software development teams.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with bureau edit packages, statistical plan changes, and reporting specification updates.
  • Preferred: Experience with JIRA, Wrike, or other project or workflow management tools.
