  • Hold regular one-to-ones with developers, offer feedback, and support their professional growth.
  • Own team delivery by coordinating weekly with Product Managers and completing agreed work.
  • Manage performance, including improvement plans and terminations when needed.
  • Keep pull request reviews timely and thorough.
  • Guide the team’s use of AI, from writing specifications and assigning work to agents through testing and reviewing results.
  • Maintain existing projects while advancing new products.
  • Support hiring and lead onboarding for new developers.
  • Spend about 30% of your time coding and reviewing pull requests, contributing wherever programming is needed.
  • Report to the CEO each week.

Prasības

  • Experience leading software development teams and helping team members grow.
  • Strong software development background and interest in continuing to code.
  • Sound judgment when making difficult people-related decisions.
  • Daily use of AI in software development, with a personal process for producing reliable results.
  • A specification-first approach in which agents execute work followed by testing and final review.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, or comparable tools.
  • Clear communication with Product, Marketing, and company leadership.
  • A product-focused, results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with subscription products, SaaS, or high-volume B2C products is a plus.
  • Experience with dating apps, startups, or fast-paced workplaces is a plus.
  • Experience introducing AI into an entire engineering team’s development workflow is a plus.
