Implementation Functional Test Lead, Assistant Vice President

Lead end-to-end functional testing for State Street Alpha investment-platform implementations, covering strategy, execution, defects, and delivery governance. Coordinate business, technology, automation, and vendor teams to support controlled implementation delivery.

Apraksts

  • Work with the Implementation Test Manager to oversee testing for an assigned function within an Alpha implementation
  • Own functional test strategy, planning, scheduling, and daily execution across testing phases
  • Manage defect discovery, documentation, triage, prioritization, tracking, resolution, and closure
  • Report testing status, identify risks, escalate issues, and recommend mitigation actions
  • Monitor dependencies and align functional testing milestones with the wider program
  • Coordinate business, technology, integration, performance, and automation teams
  • Promote and oversee the use of test automation
  • Lead functional defect triage forums and drive timely resolution
  • Govern defect SLAs, aging, leakage, reopen rates, reporting, dashboards, and audit-ready records
  • Ensure compliance with testing standards, governance frameworks, and established best practices
  • Manage and support functional test analysts and testers, including employees and vendors
  • Prepare test status updates for the Test Manager and implementation leadership
  • Help improve testing methods, assets, and delivery models continuously
  • Provide advisory, solution, and stabilization support for challenged projects
  • Lead initiatives, identify gaps, and implement improvements across projects

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in technology, finance, management, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of professional experience
  • Substantial functional-testing experience in financial services or technology transformation programs
  • 4–8 years leading testing workstreams or functional teams across internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to direct functional test planning and execution
  • Expertise in defect management and risk-based decision-making
  • Experience leading defect triage and resolution governance
  • Strong project and delivery coordination capabilities
  • Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery, including JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global, multi-vendor environments
  • Preferred knowledge of front-, middle-, and back-office workflows and data flows
