Lead ICF Next’s quarterly magazine from production planning through release, maintaining editorial quality and coordinating stakeholder approvals. Apply federal publishing standards, GPO and Chicago style, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.

  • Coordinate magazine schedules, publication cycles, and article versions through approval.
  • Provide senior editorial support, develop content, and create promotional materials.
  • Apply version control and quality checks throughout editing and document production.
  • Coordinate work between authors and writing teams and layout and design teams.
  • Manage reviews with authors, technical reviewers, and legal counsel.
  • Ensure articles and the magazine meet GPO Style Manual, Chicago Manual of Style, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Obtain required approvals before public release.
  • Oversee distribution and formatting specifications for professional publication.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, or a related field.
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible editorial and publication management experience.
  • Experience overseeing production of a periodical, preferably a technical or specialty publication.
  • Experience supporting a government or federal agency.
  • Project management expertise for recurring publication cycles.
  • Advanced substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Section 508 compliance and federal publishing standards.
  • Ability to manage complex approval workflows and coordinate technical and creative teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a team setting.
