Director of Learning Design

Lead the design of Tergar Schools’ secular contemplative K–12 learning model. Develop teacher training, pilot materials with partner schools in Nepal, and prepare the model for wider adoption.

Apraksts

  • Create the teacher training program that anchors the Model of Learning (MOL).
  • Develop adaptable school toolkits, playbooks for staff and administrators, and materials for families.
  • Treat the MOL as a product: form hypotheses, test them in classrooms, and refine the model based on what is learned.
  • Choose what to build now and what to defer while keeping work efficient and quality high.
  • Work directly with partner schools in Nepal during onboarding scheduled to begin in 2027.
  • Establish a dependable first phase and a template for future school launches.
  • Plan the team structure and sequence of hires needed.
  • Set and uphold model standards as responsibility transitions from the founders.
  • Turn Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s sessions into reusable training resources.
  • Work with the Nepal research lab to apply research findings to product and training decisions.
  • Coordinate with local teams on adapting the model in-country and building community relationships.
  • Oversee the quality of completed materials from instructional, visual, and media designers.

Prasības

  • Bring deep knowledge of pedagogy and how children and adults learn.
  • Have designed and delivered programs, curricula, or training used by practicing teachers.
  • Have personal contemplative practice; familiarity with Tergar’s lineage is not necessary.
  • Understand lean product design, including strategic experiments, problem/solution fit, product/market fit, and validated learning.
  • Bring substantial education experience as a teacher, school leader, curriculum developer, or learning designer.
  • Have built and delivered a real-world offering with limited funding or staff.
  • Have some experience directing or mentoring others, or forming a team from the ground up.
  • Be comfortable working from a founder’s evolving vision.
  • Show genuine curiosity about and respect for traditions outside your own.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting requirements.
