  • Set the Air Force SBIR Phase III strategy, covering the sponsor, funding source, contracting route, and timeline.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities across SBIR/STTR, OTAs, CSOs, prize challenges, and defense logistics and depot commands.
  • Decide whether to bid on opportunities.
  • Manage proposals from start to submission, covering compliance, win themes, pricing input, and deadlines.
  • Develop teaming relationships with prime contractors and integrators.
  • Maintain the pipeline, SAM.gov registration, and compliance baseline, including CMMC, Section 889, ITAR, and Buy American requirements.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear requests for engineering.
  • Lead capture from initial opportunity review through award signature.
  • Coordinate closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and engineering team.

Reikalavimai

  • Bring at least seven years of experience in Department of Defense capture, proposals, or contracting.
  • Show a record of winning SBIR Phase III awards or follow-on production contracts, with named awards.
  • Have experience at a small defense technology company or helping one scale.
  • Have prepared proposals and briefings that senior government audiences act on.
  • Follow procurement integrity and ethics requirements.
  • Be willing to travel 25–40% of the time.
  • Military or civilian background in logistics, depot maintenance, Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with robotics, autonomy, or material handling is preferred.
  • Experience with GSA schedules and DCAA-compliant pricing is preferred.
