  • Set strategic direction for underwriting operations in line with business objectives.
  • Coach and develop managers and senior technical staff.
  • Turn underwriting priorities into annual plans with measurable goals.
  • Direct underwriting quality programs, audits, trend reviews, corrective actions, and reporting.
  • Monitor underwriting practices, filed programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage Policy Services performance, quality, productivity, workflows, training, and staffing.
  • Promote consistent use of underwriting standards, methods, manuals, and technical guidance.
  • Work with underwriting leaders to provide technical coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze data, audit findings, and performance measures to identify trends, find root causes, implement solutions, and track results.
  • Partner across teams on product, process, compliance, and technology initiatives.
  • Lead functional efforts for system implementations and enhancements.
  • Address complex issues across teams and clear obstacles.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource plans.
  • Encourage continuous improvement, sound underwriting decisions, accountability, and collaboration.

Талаптар

  • At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in commercial insurance, underwriting, underwriting quality, policy services, or a related area.
  • At least five years of leadership experience, including leading managers, multiple teams, or senior technical professionals.
  • Broad knowledge of commercial underwriting, policy administration, quality assurance, regulatory requirements, and insurance operations.
  • Proven ability to lead across multiple functions.
  • Must live within 50 miles of a West Bend office for the hybrid schedule.
  • The role may be based in West Bend, Wisconsin.
