Regional Procurement Category Manager – Flavor Chemicals, Hydrocolloids and Additives | IFF, Spain (Hybrid)
Lead regional procurement for specialty chemicals, hydrocolloids, and additives supporting IFF’s flavors and food ingredients business. Oversee suppliers, negotiations, risk, sustainability, and EMEA category strategy.

- Own and deliver regional category strategies for assigned raw material portfolios across EMEA.
- Oversee approximately USD 60 million in annual spend.
- Manage high-volume portfolios through consolidation, harmonization, standardization, and supplier rationalization.
- Find opportunities to reduce costs, consolidate suppliers, and improve processes.
- Direct strategic sourcing initiatives and regional or global RFQs.
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
- Track market and commodity trends, regulatory developments, supplier performance, and supply chain risks.
- Create contingency plans, alternative sourcing approaches, and supplier diversification initiatives.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and administer supply agreements with regional and global suppliers.
- Maintain adherence to procurement policies and contractual requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Planning, Commercial, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Finance.
- Represent procurement and provide category expertise for assigned portfolios.
- Present sourcing strategies, market conditions, and business implications to stakeholders.
- Advance sustainability, innovation, supplier development, supply security, cost competitiveness, and lasting value.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, economics, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Effectiveness working across functions and cultures.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- At least five years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
- Experience managing high-volume raw material portfolios containing thousands of items, including consolidation, harmonization, standardization, and supplier rationalization.
- Demonstrated success negotiating with suppliers and managing contracts.
- Background managing critical suppliers, supply chain risks, and business continuity planning.
- Solid knowledge of procurement and category management practices.
- Experience using strategic sourcing tools, spend analytics, and supplier management platforms.
- Experience with SAP.
