APAC Automation Sales Director
Lead Valmet’s APAC automation sales strategy, customer partnerships, and profitable growth. Manage strategic plans and major negotiations serving the pulp and paper industry.

- Lead and develop the APAC automation sales organization
- Expand profitable revenue and market presence across the pulp and paper industry
- Turn business strategy into practical sales and marketing plans
- Oversee daily sales execution and customer success throughout APAC
- Sell automation systems, including DCS, QCS, analyzers, new investments, upgrades, and rebuild projects
- Create and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets
- Establish and sustain relationships with executive-level customers
- Support final negotiations for major opportunities and strategic customer investments
- Work with internal specialists and regional teams to provide customer-focused solutions
- Strengthen Valmet’s competitive position in pulp and paper automation

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- At least 15 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry
- Demonstrated success leading sales teams and delivering ambitious growth targets
- Background selling automation solutions, systems, or services in the pulp and paper sector
- Strong commercial judgment and contract negotiation expertise
- Experience creating sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets
- Capability to build and manage senior customer relationships
- Advanced proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel throughout the APAC region
