USAA Senior Financial Analyst, Claims (Hybrid)
Lead forecasting, financial modeling, claims analytics, and reporting for USAA. Provide insights and recommendations that support business decisions, resource planning, and operational performance.
Description
- Lead financial forecasting and planning for assigned business areas or functions
- Direct team members and improve forecasting, planning, and financial models
- Develop complex financial reports, analyses, and cost-benefit assessments while guiding team members
- Deliver financial insights to internal and external management
- Evaluate complex financial information and recommend actions to business leaders
- Implement solutions addressing significant financial and operational opportunities
- Provide business decision support to customers and business partners
- Lead product assignments, pricing, profitability reviews, and ad hoc analyses
- Conduct proactive analysis to improve decisions and resource efficiency
- Engage with senior management and company leadership
- Guide teams while encouraging innovation and productivity
- Apply advanced knowledge of the business, products, and processes
- Support team members with escalated issues
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks under applicable policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Mentor team members in advanced financial processes and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, or four years of relevant education and/or experience
- Six years of complex financial or accounting analysis experience with actionable stakeholder insights, or an advanced degree, progress toward CPA or CFA certification, and four years of relevant analysis or related work experience
- Experience working with financial or accounting technology
- Ability to communicate key financial and accounting concepts
- Finance or accounting experience in financial services
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for substantial financial data analysis
- Experience applying and following financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience preparing financial reports and making data-driven recommendations
- Working knowledge of GAAP

- Experience as a financial analyst supporting claims analytics in the property and casualty insurance industry
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake; VS Code experience is a plus
