Technical Product Manager, Batch Credit Risk — TransUnion, Chennai Hybrid

Lead strategy, roadmaps, and delivery for TransUnion’s batch credit risk products. Drive cloud modernization, reliability, compliance, and cross-functional execution across the product lifecycle.

Description

  • Own product strategy, investment, delivery, and outcomes for a complete product line or major platform domain
  • Define multi-year direction and turn market trends and risks into funded roadmaps
  • Coordinate execution across Solutions, Data Science, Analytics, Compliance, Engineering, and Operations
  • Improve customer value, quality, scalability, resilience, efficiency, adoption, reliability, and growth for batch credit risk products
  • Manage roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, risks, cross-functional decisions, release readiness, launches, and continuous improvement
  • Lead complex delivery across multiple organizations while maintaining alignment with senior stakeholders
  • Build governance, operating models, KPI-driven cadences, risk controls, mitigation plans, escalation routes, release gates, and readiness reviews
  • Guide architecture, modernization, cloud scaling, resilience, performance, data processing, APIs, events, batch workflows, and integration patterns
  • Manage the product lifecycle from strategy and commitment through launch, adoption, modernization, and retirement
  • Develop managers and senior individual contributors while aligning Director-level stakeholders on direction, investment, trade-offs, and accountability

Requirements

  • Typically 10+ years of experience in technical product management, engineering, architecture, systems analysis, data platforms, or a related discipline
  • Background in financial services, insurance, or banking
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated ownership of a product line or major platform, including multi-year strategy, funded roadmaps, and measurable results
  • Track record of leading complex delivery across organizations and aligning senior stakeholders through change
  • Excellent executive communication and ability to frame decisions clearly
  • Ability to guide decisions involving distributed systems, cloud scaling, data flows, integrations, resilience, and modernization
  • Experience applying KPIs to identify bottlenecks and improve technology, processes, and operating models
  • Experience with data-intensive financial products, credit risk, consumer reporting, scorecards, predictive models, or alternative data
  • Preferred qualifications include FCRA and model-governance knowledge; multi-source data products; SAFe PO/PM or related certification; GCP or AWS; credit data, scores, or attributes; lending or financial-decisioning platforms; and legacy-to-cloud modernization
