Systems and Infrastructure Engineer at Cromology – Hybrid France

Systems and DevOps engineer responsible for Cromology’s Windows and Linux infrastructure, automation, Level 2/3 support, and projects spanning VMware, cloud, and security. Join a European decorative paints company in a hybrid France-based role.

Description

  • Manage the Group’s systems and maintain the availability of its infrastructure, applications, and backups.
  • Investigate and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 technical incidents.
  • Create, maintain, and improve scripts that automate operational tasks.
  • Coordinate production releases for application enhancements.
  • Help monitor and test the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
  • Support architecture modernization initiatives and the rollout of new technical solutions.
  • Verify that newly introduced solutions integrate consistently with the existing environment.
  • Contribute to projects covering VMware, Linux EDR, VDI, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, CMDB, Linux IAM, firewall segmentation, and business application upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or infrastructure engineering.
  • At least three years of experience operating on-premises production infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, backup, Windows, and Linux.
  • Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, Veeam, SAN storage, Azure, OCI, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Bash or Python, Oracle Database, or Talend is an advantage.
  • Work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Maintain a results-focused approach.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in an international environment is required.
  • Strong technical English skills are required.
