Supply Chain Operations Associate - Arlington, TX Onsite

Manage supplier deliveries, material availability, inventory accuracy, and transportation decisions for Ryder’s logistics operations. Support production continuity for General Motors in Arlington, Texas.

Description

  • Monitor purchased parts to support production schedules and on-time delivery
  • Act as the primary supplier contact for shipping schedules and containment plans
  • Adjust supplier shipping plans by delaying, advancing, or expediting materials according to plant inventory coverage
  • Track critical parts and execute containment plans to prevent manufacturing interruptions and downtime
  • Select delivery methods and required delivery windows to maintain production continuity
  • Arrange alternate material sources and spot purchases when needed
  • Independently monitor, create, and cancel material pickup truckloads as schedules change
  • Maintain sufficient material coverage while controlling customer costs
  • Review part buffers against build requirements
  • Record and manage S and AV code exceptions, including Alarm Interval updates
  • Identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate MGO inventory levels and make necessary adjustments
  • Investigate and process record adjustment requests from the prior shift
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of MGO, General Motors’ MRP system, preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of transportation management preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of material flow in manufacturing processes preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively required
  • Adaptability and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment required
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management skills required
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule required
  • Willingness to work a six-day week when needed, including occasional Sundays
