- Help feature engineers resolve complex problems through streamlined workflows and intelligent tools
- Advance an agentic software development lifecycle with autonomous workflows
- Embed AI coding agents into software factories, automated testing, pull request generation, code reviews, and boilerplate refactoring
- Track and improve CI reliability, TimeToMerge, and build-time performance
- Find and remove pipeline bottlenecks with intelligent automation
- Diagnose difficult Bazel cache misses and failed CI pipelines
- Lead, mentor, and support the growth of iOS engineers
- Establish high standards for technical design and code quality across Slack’s iOS codebase
- Take ownership of the complete Slack iOS codebase
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling across CI and CD
- Advanced proficiency with Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tooling
- Practical experience with agentic SDLC workflows, including AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts
- Proven ability to monitor and improve CI reliability, TimeToMerge, and build-time metrics
- Strong knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Python or Bash scripting
- A related technical degree is required
- Experience with Slack and a strong interest in improving the product
- Previous experience in an iOS developer experience position
