Description

  • Learn through mentorship from experienced engineers
  • Develop software in TypeScript and/or Haskell
  • Help improve Mercury’s products for more than 300,000 businesses
  • Work with an engineering team matched to your interests and goals
  • Partner with data analysts to define and build backend customer-acquisition features
  • Create backend services for mobile and web applications, including transaction search and wire transfers
  • Develop administrative tools for support teams, including fraud detection and account management
  • Connect third-party APIs for checks and SWIFT-code validation
  • Build and enhance Mercury’s fintech application and user interface
  • Apply TypeScript’s static typing to reduce errors
  • Extend an established TypeScript codebase while improving performance
  • Collaborate with designers and contribute ideas to product development
  • Combine the applicable frontend and backend responsibilities in a full-stack role

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an academic program, such as an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • For backend work, have Haskell experience or a strong interest in learning it, along with SQL familiarity
  • For frontend work, have TypeScript experience; React experience is advantageous
  • For full-stack work, have Haskell experience or a strong interest in learning it, SQL familiarity, and TypeScript experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to continually improving your craft
  • Bring curiosity and a willingness to share your perspective
  • Value high-quality work, both individually and collaboratively
  • Communicate clearly and explain technical decisions effectively
