Software Engineer - Phoenix Hybrid

Software Engineer supporting software integration and DevSecOps for Honeywell Aerospace aviation systems. The role focuses on modernizing AeroSPS infrastructure, CI/CD, configuration management, and build automation.

Description

  • Support software integration across multiple programs
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Implement and manage DevSecOps practices that strengthen software development and deployment
  • Use ClearCase, Bitbucket, and Git for configuration management, code integrity, and version control
  • Use Bitbucket, GitHub, Bamboo, SonarQube, Coverity, and Black Duck to support CI/CD, code quality, and security
  • Create and maintain Python, PowerShell, Batch, and Makefile scripts for automation and efficiency
  • Modernize AeroSPS infrastructure through a sustainable DevOps framework
  • Help digitize metrics and health monitoring for infrastructure and build systems
  • Lead and support employee development, succession planning, retention, engagement, and inclusion initiatives
  • Report to the Senior Engineering Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • At least five years of software engineering experience focused on DevSecOps
  • Strong command of configuration management systems, including ClearCase, Atlassian Bitbucket, and Git
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Batch scripting, with experience using Makefiles
  • Proven ability to lead integration work and collaborate across functions
  • Must be a U.S. person: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, individual with protected asylum or refugee status in the U.S., or someone able to obtain export authorization
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with compiler and linker options
  • Experience developing embedded software
  • Familiarity with software development best practices
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Interest in innovation and ongoing professional learning
