Description

  • Develop software using Cisco Design Thinking principles, secure coding practices, privacy requirements, and established development standards.
  • Collaborate with design and product management teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Prepare technical design documentation and contribute to end-user documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve software issues during development and in production.
  • Suggest product innovations and help improve software development processes.
  • Keep the team informed about project status and technical issues.
  • Share knowledge and practical experience to support team development.
  • Contribute to small projects and code and test focused features.
  • Learn and apply software development lifecycle methods and agile engineering practices.
  • Evaluate user requirements and their impact on technical design.
  • Write reliable code with guidance from experienced engineers.
  • Refine and rewrite test code during testing and debugging.
  • Assist with scalability, reliability, and velocity testing.
  • Apply established secure coding principles and guidelines.
  • Support senior team members with troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Develop expertise in a major codebase area while gaining a high-level understanding of related components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience required.
  • Foundational understanding of theories, principles, and concepts in a technical discipline.
  • Exposure to current technologies through coursework or an internship.
  • Strong interest in developing front-end expertise and creating intuitive user experiences.
  • Preferred: Experience with React and JavaScript.
  • Preferred: Experience using Figma to review mockups and implement designs accurately.
