Software Engineer, Customer Experience Engineering - Snowflake

Build diagnostic data applications for Snowflake customers and develop Java and Python services. Support troubleshooting, software delivery, and improvements to the customer experience.

Description

  • Deliver well-scoped, full-stack work across Java and Python services running on Kubernetes and Snowpark Container Services.
  • Participate in the complete software lifecycle, from design through deployment support.
  • Own the quality, completeness, and customer experience of assigned work.
  • Gather and apply feedback from peers, stakeholders, and design reviews.
  • Develop expertise in component requirements, use cases, architecture, and a designated feature area.
  • Contribute to development, testing, bug fixes, triage, and support rotations.
  • Work with product management, design, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Create intelligent data applications that surface diagnostic insights and technical content related to customer issues.
  • Reduce customer friction by helping customers and internal technical teams resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or an equivalent field.
  • Internship or professional experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of modern application design, sound API design patterns, and performance and scalability fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
  • Ability to debug personal code and build troubleshooting skills in a cloud environment.
  • Ability to write readable, maintainable, high-quality code with attention to performance, operability, and maintainability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in collaborating with diverse peers and external developers.
  • Willingness to support team morale, onboard new hires and interns, and contribute to team needs.
  • Enjoyment of software development and continuous learning.
  • In-office attendance is essential; candidates must live within commuting distance of the local Snowflake office or be willing to relocate, and must confirm work authorization in the country of application.
