Software Development Specialist II – JavaScript/TypeScript Web Security SDK (Remote)

Develop JavaScript and TypeScript components for Experian’s web fraud-prevention SDK, with a focus on secure data capture, integrity, observability, and client-side communication.

Description

  • Build and improve web components for the unified SDK.
  • Secure the capture, validation, and transmission of data from images, documents, and sensors.
  • Implement protections against digital fraud, content injection, session tampering, malicious automation, and untrusted environments.
  • Develop and maintain critical web components with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Create detection capabilities for headless browsers, virtualized environments, emulators, and digital fraud tools.
  • Secure communication among web components, native SDKs, and backend services.
  • Apply integrity controls and validation processes to captured data.
  • Build telemetry, metrics, logging, and observability capabilities.
  • Analyze and optimize performance across browsers and devices.
  • Help define architecture, development standards, and client-side security practices.
  • Review code and provide technical support to development teams.
  • Investigate vulnerabilities and advance fraud and abuse prevention mechanisms.
  • Work with Architecture, Information Security, Platform Engineering, and Product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience building web applications with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Advanced understanding of modern browser architecture and internals.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10, CSP, CORS, XSS, CSRF, and secure authentication.
  • Experience with WebAuthn, device fingerprinting, and client-side protection techniques.
  • Knowledge of browser automation, virtualized environments, emulators, and scraping-tool detection.
  • Experience connecting web applications with native mobile or desktop SDKs.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, secure communication protocols, and applied cryptography.
  • Experience using observability, monitoring, and log-analysis tools.
  • Experience with agile delivery and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with digital identity, biometrics, or fraud-prevention products.
  • Knowledge of WebAssembly (WASM).
  • Experience with behavioral analysis and device intelligence.
  • Knowledge of anti-tampering, anti-debugging, and client-side code-protection techniques.
  • Experience working in high-scale environments with critical security requirements.
  • Knowledge of document capture, liveness detection, or digital onboarding solutions.
  • Experience designing cross-platform SDKs.
  • Strong analytical ability and complex problem-solving skills.
  • A working approach centered on security, quality, and reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to influence technical and architectural decisions.
