Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Computacenter, securing enterprise Microsoft Azure environments in an onsite Bangalore role. The position covers DevSecOps automation, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and compliance operations.

Description

  • Design and manage cloud-native security controls in Microsoft Azure, including Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and posture management.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates with ARM, Bicep, and Terraform.
  • Embed security into DevOps workflows through Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automated compliance checks.
  • Track and resolve security recommendations, compliance gaps, and Defender for Cloud alerts.
  • Partner with the SOC to strengthen detection and response using Azure-native security tools.
  • Automate security operations with Logic Apps, Function Apps, and REST API integrations.
  • Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new workloads and architecture changes.
  • Guide application and platform teams on secure-by-design practices and cloud-native security patterns.
  • Build security reporting dashboards with Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Power BI.
  • Support compliance programs aligned with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements.
  • Connect Azure IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS security telemetry to Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Help deliver measurable improvements to the organization’s cloud security posture score.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud projects securely and on schedule.
  • Reduce outstanding security recommendations in Defender for Cloud.
  • Maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications including AZ-500, AZ-400, AZ-104, and AZ-900.
  • Strong knowledge of configuring and managing Microsoft Defender for Cloud and handling incident response workflows.
  • Practical experience deploying, developing, and automating solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience securing large-scale Azure cloud environments in enterprise settings.
  • Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with ARM, Bicep, and Terraform.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with Azure Policy, Initiatives, Blueprints, and governance at scale.
  • Working knowledge of Azure network security, including NSGs, ASGs, firewalls, and Private Endpoints.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and designing secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with REST API integrations for security tools.
  • Strong understanding of Azure identity and access management, including Entra ID, PIM, and Conditional Access.
  • Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Sentinel and Log Analytics.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, and App Services.
  • Ability to produce complex, high-quality reports.
  • Analytical approach to solving problems.
  • Desirable: Microsoft Azure SC-200 and SC-900 certifications.
  • Desirable: knowledge of security event analysis in Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud integration.
  • Desirable: familiarity with SIEM/SOAR concepts and Security Operations automation workflows.
  • Desirable: familiarity with Cribl Stream.
