Senior Systems Engineer at ADAPTIT (Hybrid, Greece)
ADAPTIT is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise ICT infrastructure for telecom, finance, utilities, and enterprise customers. The role covers networking, virtualization, storage, backup, and cybersecurity solutions.
Description
- Lead the full lifecycle of enterprise IT infrastructure, from hardware sizing and bare-metal deployment at customer sites through configuration, administration, and maintenance.
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise networks, Site-to-Site VPNs, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and network segmentation.
- Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity problems.
- Track network availability, security, and performance.
- Design, operate, and maintain VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox virtualization environments.
- Administer storage platforms including Dell Unity, Unisphere, OpenNAS, and OpenMediaVault.
- Design and maintain backup and disaster-recovery solutions using Veeam, Acronis, and Commvault.
- Create and update infrastructure diagrams, network topologies, configurations, procedures, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Approximately 5–7 years of professional Systems or Infrastructure Engineering experience with progressively greater responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, security protocols, cloud technologies, virtualization, and IT infrastructure.
- Advanced problem-solving ability and sound decision-making under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Greek.
- CCNA or other relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Experience supervising technical teams and managing IT services.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with Fortinet and infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix or PRTG.
- Experience designing and implementing IT operations processes.
