Senior Systems Architect – United States Remote

Lead integration architecture for a federal health customer, connecting supply-chain applications, data stores, and devices. Establish standards, evaluate technology, and guide secure, production-ready delivery.

Description

  • Design integration and interface architecture for supply-chain applications, data stores, and connected devices
  • Define and document standards and patterns for consistent delivery
  • Assess emerging technologies and validate their suitability before roadmap adoption
  • Create architecture diagrams, decision records, and standard operating procedures
  • Work with security and platform engineering to develop authorizable designs
  • Collaborate with product teams, security specialists, and customer technical stakeholders
  • Shape the architecture connecting supply-chain and logistics systems for a federal health customer
  • Own interface and integration architecture across applications, data stores, and connected devices
  • Establish the standards delivery teams use to build against

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15 or more years of systems or integration architecture experience
  • Proven ownership of interface architecture spanning multiple integrated systems
  • Practical experience with an enterprise architecture framework such as TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF, or Zachman
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, CDA, or DICOM
  • Ability to produce architecture documentation and standards for delivery teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust background investigation
  • U.S. citizenship
  • At least three years of physical residence in the United States to satisfy background investigation requirements
  • Ability to meet access requirements for protected or classified information
  • Federal health IT program experience preferred
  • Experience designing supply-chain, logistics, inventory, or asset management systems preferred
  • Cloud migration and hybrid architecture experience with AWS or Azure preferred
  • TOGAF, AWS, or Azure architecture certification preferred
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments at scale preferred
  • API and service-layer design experience, including contract-first approaches, preferred
  • Familiarity with federal IT governance and approved-tooling processes preferred
