- Set the frontend technical direction for Ads Manager and lead large, multi-quarter initiatives
- Own the technical roadmap and architecture for Ads Manager web applications
- Build and maintain React interfaces for campaign creation, management, reporting, and optimization
- Develop shared components, state management patterns, and frontend abstractions
- Coordinate with backend teams on APIs and data contracts
- Advance frontend standards and engineering practices with leads and cross-functional peers
- Improve observability, performance, and reliability through metrics, logging, tracing, and on-call readiness
- Lead frontend modernization, technical-debt reduction, migrations, and refactoring
- Apply security-by-design principles and lead responses to major security or reliability incidents
- Coordinate cross-team initiatives and align stakeholders across Ads and partner organizations
- Partner with designers to deliver a high-quality user experience
- Mentor and sponsor engineers through L5 while strengthening onboarding and team practices
- Help establish effective practices for AI-assisted development tools
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience developing modern web applications
- Advanced proficiency with Node.js and React, including hooks, state management, and performance optimization
- Strong frontend architecture experience spanning modularization, shared components, routing, data retrieval, and error handling
- Experience designing and integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Track record of leading complex, ambiguous projects involving multiple stakeholders from design through launch and operations
- Demonstrated improvements to team productivity and code health through abstractions, tooling, testing, and CI enhancements
- Experience monitoring and improving web-application observability with Datadog or comparable tools
- Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Current eligibility to work from Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia, Canada
- Preferred experience with large-scale data-intensive interfaces, GraphQL at scale, Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, frontend performance and reliability, major migrations, Figma, and mentoring L3–L5 engineers
