Senior Software Engineer, C#/.NET Desktop Applications — Onsite in India

Build and enhance C#/.NET desktop applications that address engineering and architectural design challenges. Work with WPF, SQL, Entity Framework, MVVM, and WinUI in collaboration with product and project teams.

Description

  • Create and deliver desktop applications for engineering and architectural design use cases.
  • Maintain, enhance, and extend existing company products.
  • Partner with product owners to define and clarify software requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to scope, analyze, and estimate delivery timelines.
  • Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to support reliable software releases.
  • Drive ongoing improvements across the Agile development process.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and share accountability for delivering the project vision.
  • Report to the Software Applications Engineering Manager as part of the Development team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least six years of experience developing complex commercial desktop applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, WPF, SQL, Entity Framework, MVVM, and dependency injection.
  • Experience working with Agile methods and current frameworks, including WinUI 3 and .NET 7–8.
  • Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM and dependency injection, along with object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments while following Jira best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • C++ knowledge is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with xUnit for unit testing .NET languages.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version-control tools.
