Senior Software Engineer, Booking Engine (Krakow Hybrid)
Lead C#/.NET architecture for Tripstack’s flight-booking platform in a senior engineering role. Own scalable pricing, availability, booking services, APIs, reliability, and technical leadership.
Description
- Set the technical direction for Booking Engine services
- Make architecture decisions, document trade-offs, and act as the technical point of contact
- Design, develop, review, test, and support C#/.NET code for systems handling millions of requests per day
- Divide initiatives into deliverable increments and maintain systems after release
- Own service latency, availability, cost characteristics, and reliability targets
- Maintain and advance the gRPC-based API 2.0 alongside .NET services
- Identify technology opportunities and communicate technical proposals and plans across the organization
- Partner with product managers, client integration teams, and engineering groups
- Coordinate and track production releases
- Join the on-call rotation, lead incident response, and complete follow-up actions
- Support engineer development through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Help the team apply AI-assisted development tools effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience with C# and .NET, including production work with .NET Core or .NET 8+
- Deep understanding of the .NET runtime under load, including performance trade-offs, caching, profiling, and benchmarking
- Strong software design and architecture capabilities, including computer science fundamentals, object-oriented analysis, design patterns, and large-scale distributed systems
- Hands-on production experience with Claude Code or an equivalent AI coding assistant
- Demonstrated experience designing and architecting scalable, highly available distributed systems serving internet-scale traffic
- Technical leadership experience across multiple engineers, including developing and mentoring engineers
- Experience owning production services through on-call support and leading incident response
- Clear, concise communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with client SDKs or public APIs, cloud providers and cloud-native architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Grafana, alerting, logging, PCI-related work, gRPC, protobuf, event-driven or asynchronous architectures, message brokers, and the flight-booking domain is considered an asset
