Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Systems - Granicus (Remote, United States)

Build Python-based AI agent systems, web-scraping frameworks, and React interfaces for Granicus cloud products. Help develop technology that connects governments with residents.

Description

  • Create and maintain scalable backend services with Python, FastAPI, and LangChain
  • Develop and support web-scraping frameworks with Firecrawl, Playwright, or comparable tools
  • Design and coordinate multi-agent systems, including LangFlow workflows and agent-to-agent communication
  • Release multi-agent platforms to production with dependable monitoring and failover capabilities
  • Connect agents to Salesforce, SharePoint, Slack, and internal business applications
  • Build responsive, accessible frontend components with React.js or similar frameworks
  • Deliver real-time user experiences through SSE or WebSocket
  • Track agent behavior and interaction data with observability tools such as LangFuse
  • Coach junior engineers and participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
  • Work with AI/ML, DevOps, and Product teams in an agile setting
  • Uphold Granicus requirements for information security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and data privacy

Requirements

  • Eight to twelve years of full-stack software development experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Python
  • Strong backend expertise with FastAPI, asyncio, and scalable microservices
  • Experience creating and deploying web-scraping frameworks with Firecrawl, Scrapy, Playwright, or similar tools
  • Practical experience developing agent-based systems
  • Experience implementing agent-to-agent (A2A) communication
  • Experience orchestrating workflows with LangFlow
  • Experience taking multi-agent systems into production
  • Experience integrating agents with Salesforce, SharePoint, CRMs, or comparable platforms
  • Frontend development experience with React.js, TypeScript, or other modern frameworks
  • Familiarity with agent observability platforms such as LangFuse
  • Experience using AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Winsurf, or equivalent products
  • Ability to fulfill Granicus information security and data privacy responsibilities
