Help migrate Intact’s Guidewire BillingCenter platform to Cloud SaaS while developing Java services and business functionality. Work with QA, analysts, and stakeholders in a hybrid Canadian environment.

Description

  • Support the migration of Guidewire BillingCenter to its Cloud SaaS platform
  • Develop and improve functionality that addresses user needs
  • Design solutions, investigate issues, and recommend suitable approaches
  • Estimate the effort required for assigned work
  • Build, test, debug, and document software solutions
  • Develop Java applications and services within an Agile delivery environment
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders
  • Engage with the developer community to improve practices, tools, and processes
  • Champion and apply software development best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • At least two years of development experience with a Guidewire platform
  • Strong Java development experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities
  • Fluency in both French and English is required
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required
  • Guidewire certification is considered an asset
  • Guidewire Cloud SaaS experience is considered an asset
  • Experience migrating or upgrading a Guidewire platform is considered an asset
  • Guidewire BillingCenter experience is considered an asset
  • Spring Boot experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with Cucumber and RestAssured is considered an asset
  • Git experience is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is considered an asset
  • Experience incorporating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines is considered an asset
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is considered an asset
  • Property and casualty insurance industry knowledge is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of billing and collection processes is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated team spirit, commitment, and collaborative attitude
  • Independent, open, and motivated approach to contributing to shared success
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and ability to synthesize information
  • Clear communication and effective collaboration across teams
