Guide complex technical initiatives from initial design through production delivery
Decompose projects, identify risks early, and help the team manage rollout and adoption
Protect operational reliability through observability, on-call participation, and incident response
Apply AI tools across design, development, testing, and debugging while preserving rigorous review and validation
Work effectively with globally distributed colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders
Document decisions and context clearly through strong written communication

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience mentoring developers and participating in design reviews
At least five years of professional experience building and delivering backend software
Strong command of one or more backend languages, such as Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or Ruby
Experience designing, implementing, and versioning APIs
Strong foundation in relational database concepts, including schema design and query optimization
Advanced AWS experience with services such as Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and IAM
Practical experience developing and operating serverless, event-driven systems
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployments with safe rollout and rollback procedures
Consistent testing practice across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, integrated into delivery pipelines
Hands-on familiarity with observability and troubleshooting tools
Experience using AI coding assistants as part of everyday software development
Sound judgment when reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code before release
