Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Remote in Brazil

Senior SRE role at Verity, a digital transformation and engineering consultancy, focused on cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and observability. The position covers incident prevention, automation, and the continuous improvement of resilient environments.

Description

  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, MTTR, and MTTD
  • Build and maintain observability, monitoring, alerting, and APM capabilities
  • Track latency, traffic, errors, saturation, availability, and system performance
  • Drive incident prevention, detection, investigation, and resolution
  • Lead root cause analysis and establish measures to prevent recurring incidents
  • Assess operational risks, bottlenecks, and single points of failure
  • Contribute to resilient, scalable, and highly available solution designs
  • Automate operational workflows to minimize manual effort
  • Administer and continuously improve Kubernetes and Docker environments
  • Contribute to capacity planning, business continuity, and disaster recovery efforts
  • Support deployments and help stabilize applications in production
  • Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability throughout solution design
  • Maintain dashboards, alerts, procedures, and operational documentation
  • Champion reliability, observability, and continuous improvement across teams

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, SRE, or in a comparable position
  • Practical experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience implementing observability, monitoring, alerting, and APM solutions
  • Understanding of SRE metrics and practices, including SLI, SLO, SLA, MTTR, and MTTD
  • Experience coordinating the investigation and resolution of operational incidents
  • Knowledge of application and infrastructure troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience administering Linux systems
  • Understanding of networking, security, performance, and high-availability principles
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions
  • An analytical, proactive, collaborative, and prevention-focused approach
  • Preferred: experience with GKE, EKS, or AKS
  • Preferred: familiarity with Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable tools
  • Preferred: experience with the ELK Stack, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
  • Preferred: knowledge of Terraform and Ansible
  • Preferred: experience supporting mission-critical environments and distributed systems
  • Preferred: background in financial institutions or other regulated environments
  • Preferred: experience with capacity management and cloud cost optimization
  • Preferred: knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity practices
  • Preferred: experience defining and managing error budgets
  • Preferred: certifications in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or SRE
