Senior RAN Engineering Specialist - Southfield, Michigan (Onsite)

Senior RAN Engineering Specialist responsible for designing, deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting AT&T wireless radio access network systems. This onsite Southfield role coordinates network performance, vendors, and installation teams.

Description

  • Create compliant network layouts for wireless RAN deployments
  • Perform feasibility assessments and capacity planning
  • Oversee cell site equipment layouts and define network parameters
  • Track and improve wireless network performance
  • Investigate network problems and evaluate RAN data
  • Carry out RF optimization and manage network capacity
  • Deploy network solutions, including testing and validation
  • Administer configurations and oversee wireless RAN installation, maintenance, and optimization
  • Diagnose and resolve network faults, including satellite network routing issues
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and manage vendor relationships
  • Deliver customer support
  • Organize installation, maintenance, and optimization work across multiple teams
  • Apply policy updates that improve operational functions
  • Support AT&T’s compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Up to three years of relevant experience
  • Certification may be required in certain areas
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as a BS or BA, is preferred
  • Work onsite five days per week at the designated Southfield, Michigan location
  • Relocation assistance is not offered
  • Applicants requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future will not be hired by AT&T
  • Demonstrated ability in RF engineering and Radio Access Network design
  • Thorough knowledge of RAN technologies
  • Capability to manage complex RAN engineering assignments
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on broad projects with limited supervision
  • Ability to support compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations
