Senior Onsite Warehouse Operations Team Lead

Lead daily warehouse operations for DSV in Dallas, coordinating shipping, receiving, quality, safety, staffing, and material handling. This onsite role also supports associate training, work schedules, and warehouse productivity.

Description

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Lead associates handling warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
  • Train new and current associates in distribution work and standard procedures.
  • Support forklift operation and certification.
  • Coordinate inbound unloading, product stacking, and outbound picking and staging.
  • Check shipment paperwork, product counts, warehouse doors, and trailers.
  • Load orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Carry out shipping, receiving, and picking tasks according to standard procedures.
  • Investigate shipping and receiving discrepancies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Prepare activity reports for site management.
  • Conduct quality checks, report damage and discrepancies, and stack, package, wrap, and label products.
  • Escalate inconsistencies and issues to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Take part in quality and safety meetings.
  • Follow safety protocols and ISO, OSHA/MSDS, corporate, site, and standard procedure requirements.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and secure.
  • Direct warehouse team operations and help track productivity and payroll hours.
  • Support staffing and scheduling, and ensure work assignments and schedules are completed.
  • Address product, process, and quality system nonconformities and recommend solutions.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, lifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Inspect equipment daily, perform minor maintenance, and report problems.
  • Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment, or assist with that work.
  • Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling, greeting visitors, filing, and record keeping.
  • Carry out other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related environment.
  • Ability to operate material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse without temperature control in both warmer and colder months.
  • Successful completion of a forklift training program.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience using RF scanners.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management system functions.
  • English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Basic to intermediate math skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and handling, storing, and distributing products.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand constantly, bend frequently, and reach above shoulder height, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Willingness to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as business needs require.
  • Preferred: 2–4 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
  • Preferred: 2–4 years of demonstrated forklift experience.
  • Preferred: current or previous material-handling equipment certification.
