Description

  • Develop custom tools that retrieve data from other products through APIs and display it in purpose-built dashboards.
  • Coordinate development activities with developers and database administrators.
  • Plan, implement, configure, test, and integrate code into production products.
  • Assess existing systems and recommend solutions that meet Department of State requirements.
  • Partner with network engineering and operations teams to collect product data.
  • Support the Department of State mission to manage network devices for more than 100,000 customers worldwide.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy monitoring and management systems for Cisco routers and switches, Microsoft servers and workstations, and monitoring products.
  • Work with technical subject-matter experts during deployment.
  • Participate in technical working groups and advisory boards as needed.
  • Document developed code and product usage parameters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with 18+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 16 years of experience; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Experience implementing custom-coded solutions across large enterprise or global networks.
  • Strong understanding of end-user security and authentication.
  • In-depth experience with Visual Studio, SQL, C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working directly with customers.
  • US citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience integrating network management, security, and monitoring tools, including HP Network Automation, Micro Focus Network Automation, OpenText, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Red Seal, NetBrain, Cisco ISE, Niksun, and LiveAction.
  • Preferred: VMware experience.
  • Preferred: experience with Cisco tools and network products.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Preferred: experience working in small teams of 3–5.
