Senior .NET Backend Engineer — Finance (Remote, Colombia)
Build Azure-hosted APIs and microservices for finance software as part of an Agile, distributed team. Improve existing products and deliver new capabilities with modern .NET technologies.
Description
- Help an Agile team extend finance software capabilities
- Enhance existing applications and contribute to quarterly development initiatives
- Develop and host software in Microsoft Azure
- Use Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Azure API Gateway, SQL Server, Angular, and related technologies
- Design and implement APIs and microservices
- Produce clean, well-structured, testable, production-ready code
- Contribute to peer code reviews
- Work closely with remote, distributed teams
Requirements
- At least six years of professional software engineering experience
- Advanced hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core for API and microservice development
- Strong command of SOLID principles, dependency injection or IoC, and clean, maintainable code
- Practical experience creating automated unit and integration tests
- Strong SQL and Entity Framework or EF Core skills, including query optimization and performance awareness
- Experience designing microservices and distributed systems with asynchronous or event-driven communication
- Cloud development experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with CI/CD and current software development practices
- Ability to independently deliver well-designed, testable, production-ready software and contribute to code reviews
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with remote, distributed teams
- Fluent English
- Residence in Latin America (LATAM) required
