Description

  • Build full-stack web applications with an established development team to meet operational needs
  • Document and verify web application requirements
  • Create automated tests that correspond to defined test plans
  • Support architectural design and development for web application delivery
  • Contribute to software design discussions and advise on suitable tools, technologies, and methods
  • Refactor and enhance existing web applications to introduce features and strengthen reliability and performance
  • Review application cybersecurity posture to support compliance with software security requirements
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications used by U.S. Department of Defense test and training communities

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance
  • A bachelor’s degree with 12 or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • At least 8 years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications and software systems
  • At least 8 years of experience gathering and validating software application requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience with web UI technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience designing and building RESTful web services
  • At least 8 years of experience with Java EE or Jakarta EE integration, Servlets, and JDBC
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable database, along with SQL queries
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Java EE features including Streams and lambda expressions, the Collections framework, and exception handling
  • Preferred experience with static application security testing tools and practices, including OWASP, Coverity, SonarQube, and software security compliance
  • Preferred strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Java EE features including Streams and lambda expressions, the Collections framework, and exception handling
  • Preferred self-directed approach, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and experience with test-driven development
