Senior Java Developer – Remote in Poland

Description
- Develop and maintain customized software solutions for a major European public-sector technology provider
- Build software components from design specifications
- Carry out system integration and testing
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Write and execute unit tests for software components
- Help estimate project work and delivery schedules
- Work closely with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders
- Contribute technical guidance to product roadmaps
- Take part in incident triage, analysis, and prioritization
- Support and improve CI/CD processes
- Help develop a tax administration system for declarations, calculations, assessments, and external-system integrations
Requirements
- At least 6 years of Java development experience
- Extensive experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or another RDBMS
- Experience with REST and SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ
- Solid understanding of software testing principles
- Confident English communication skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders and distributed teams
- Angular front-end development experience is advantageous
- German or Swiss German language skills are advantageous
